My name is San Pwint, from Myanmar. In 2015, I was admitted to the English major at Taunggyi University. Due to my outstanding academic performance, I was selected for the Honors Program in 2016. My undergraduate studies, originally scheduled to conclude between 2019 and 2021, were extended until 2022 due to the pandemic and political unrest. I successfully completed my degree and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English that year. I chose to study English primarily because it is the global lingua franca and I have a strong passion for learning foreign languages. My goal was not only to enhance my English proficiency but also to utilize it as a foundation for future studies in Business Management.

Having attended a local Chinese school and being frequently exposed to various Chinese programs, I developed a deep appreciation for Chinese culture. This cultural immersion, coupled with the unwavering support of my family, solidified my decision to pursue graduate studies in China after completing my bachelor's degree. In recent years, China's development has been remarkable – its economy has surged, and its technological prowess is internationally renowned. Friends studying there often describe the unparalleled convenience of life in China: the ubiquitous application of high technology, the immense benefits of mobile payments, the highly developed transportation network, and the irresistible allure of Chinese cuisine. They also speak highly of the unity, friendliness, and peace-loving nature of the Chinese people. These aspects stand in stark contrast to the current state of Myanmar, where the economy, technology, and society still have considerable room for development. Understanding these realities further reinforced my resolve to study in China.

As for my decision to switch to Business for my master's degree, there are two main reasons: Firstly, growing up with parents in business naturally influenced me. More crucially, during my part-time work experiences, I observed a consistent high demand for professionals in fields like Business Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Accounting. I believe that complementing my language skills with advanced knowledge in Business Management will significantly broaden my career prospects. Hence, I decided to study in China to expand my professional knowledge base and receive comprehensive, specialized education, enabling me to study these subjects more systematically and theoretically. Furthermore, China boasts not only a profound history and culture but is also the world's second-largest economy. I am confident its academic environment and educational philosophy will greatly benefit and propel my future development.

During my undergraduate studies, in my sophomore year, I was selected for the Honors Program based on my excellent grades, ranking among the top students out of nearly one hundred. I graduated from the program with third-place honors. Throughout my four years, my academic performance peaked in my junior year, with average subject scores consistently between 4 and 5 (out of 5), achieving a GPA of 4.73. I possess a strong passion for learning. Not only did I excel in English during my undergraduate studies, but I also ranked at the top of my class in Chinese. I was awarded the university scholarship for two consecutive years. In 2020, I won third prize in the Colorful Yunnan Chinese Culture Competition hosted by the Yunnan Overseas Friendship Association. Additionally, I passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 in August 2022. While my current proficiency levels in Chinese, English, and Japanese require further improvement, I am committed to diligent study and intend to leverage my language skills to research international economic development trends. I am currently studying for the LCCI Level 3 qualification and hope to pursue ACCA in the near future.

Beyond academics, I actively participated in university-organized charity activities, such as donating supplies to orphanages and teaching children extracurricular knowledge. In my senior year, for the "Public Speaking and Presentation Skills" course, I delivered a speech on animal protection as part of a group project, and our team secured second place.

During my postgraduate studies, I will diligently delve into my specialized field, consistently broaden my perspective through reading relevant literature and books, and hold myself to the high standards set by both the university and my supervisor. My aim is to achieve a deeper understanding of Business Management, cultivating strong theoretical and practical competencies, an international outlook, and effective cross-cultural communication skills. I will actively participate in university-organized activities and aspire to attend academic conferences whenever possible to broaden my horizons. Upon graduation, I plan to return to Myanmar to pursue a career in business management. It is my sincere hope that one day I can contribute my modest efforts to the China-Myanmar "Belt and Road" construction. To be able to serve in this capacity would be my greatest honor.
